Easy-Easy Fruit Dip

This is about as easy as it gets. It’s also a surprise because it livens up a plain fruit plate as an appetizer or breakfast snack. I found the recipe in a cookbook we found in Idaho while we were visiting the National Parks. Who knew “Caldera Kitchens” could be so “Cali” I guess. I can attest that it will make those who aren’t big fruit eaters, grab some fruit and start dipping.

Ingredients

Sour Cream

Brown Sugar

Fruits of of your choice for dipping

First thing is to find a bowl that’s not real deep, but the bottom is flat. Fill that bowl with as much sour cream as you like…I call it dipping depth.

Sprinkle over the top of the sour cream a layer of brown sugar.

The brown sugar should moisten and sink in to the sour cream after a minute or so.

Arrange fruits around the bowl, like strawberry’s, apple wedges, pineapple, grapes, cantaloupe…or whatever you like, pears are good etc.

Dip the fruit in the sour cream/brown sugar mix, and off you go.
